INCLUSIVE HANDICRAFT SCHOOL

The Inclusive Handicraft School is a collaborative social entrepreneurship project that is part of the workshop school and employment workshop programs.

This program is based on training in alternating the craft trade and business skills and entrepreneurship.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

The main objective of the Inclusive Handicraft School is to promote social and labor incorporation and social entrepreneurship in new business niches linked to crafts.

To this end, a model of training for employment is used through experimentation in learning and entrepreneurship.

The idea is that the learning of craftsmanship is based on practice and that students can develop, in parallel, their training in a craft trade and the testing of collaborative social entrepreneurship.

PARTICIPANTS

The Inclusive Handicraft School is aimed at all those people who wish to generate their own products and business models that allow them to access the labor market through social entrepreneurship.

Among the people who can benefit from this project, priority is given to those who come from Neighborhood Units and social services that are recipients of RG or Minimum Living Income.

ACTIVITIES

The Inclusive Handicraft School is based on the “learning by doing” teaching methodology of the University of Mondragon, which will be deployed for the development of classroom activities.

The training is based on practice and experimentation, and is designed for students to learn in a practical way, both in the field of craftsmanship and business.

During the course, different activities will be developed such as: craft workshops, entrepreneurship sessions, social and labor orientation, market testing and product sales, as well as collaboration with different social projects.

PARTNERS

The Inclusive Handicraft School is a project developed by the Koine-Aequalitas Foundation in collaboration with the University of Mondragon.

The project has been funded by La Caixa Foundation and Caja Navarra Foundation through its call Innova Social 2022 and by the Department of Social Rights of the Government of Navarra. In addition, it has the collaboration of the Neighborhood Units and social services for the referral of participants.
